Who We Are:

Hord Farms is a diversified farming operation in North-Central Ohio currently farming over 8,000 acres of corn, beans, wheat, and barley, in addition to raising pigs and cattle. Our Hord Elevator division is hiring a scale house operator at our Bucyrus locatio n . We take pride in producing and purchasing quality grain products that will ultimately feed our pigs and cattle and hope that you will take pride in your role as we produce nutritious protein sources that feed families worldwide. No experience is required; training will be provided! A Day in the

Life:

Oversee trucks weighing in and out of facility Probe grain and/or ingredient trucks Perform quality testing on grain and/or ingredient samples and enter results into computer Communicate with drivers to get load information in-person and/or over radio Maintain files and c ross check paperwork for accuracy Maintain cleanliness of the work area Daily responsibilities will be primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks Typical work day is 7:30AM - 4:30PM Monday-Friday. However, during busier times such as fall harvest , flexibility to work additional hours including evening s and weekend s is needed

What You Need:

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy Willingness to consistently follow repeated steps Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email No exposure to non-Hord pigs
