Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a School-Age Program Site Coordinator, where you will lead engaging and enriching before and after-school programs for children in grades K-5. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners to support childhood development and learning. Your energetic leadership will inspire children to explore new interests, develop social skills, and build confidence through a variety of educational and recreational activities. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners while honing your skills in education, behavior management, and program coordination. This position is a split shift and is perfect for a college student Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth, creativity, and physical activity for school-age children. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies. Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision, enforcing safety protocols, and responding promptly to emergencies with first aid when necessary. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community partners to support individual needs of the children Oversee daily program operations including attendance tracking, activity setup, and cleanup to ensure smooth transitions throughout the day. Lead staff members by providing guidance on classroom management, child development best practices, and program expectations. Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, incident reports, and program activities in compliance with licensing standards.
Qualifications:
Meets minimum EEC qualifications for School Age Site Coordinator Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 1 year experience with school-age children Supervisory experience preferred Before hire, must have a suitable Background Check from EEC Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as childcare, summer camp, or after-school programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Experience in classroom management or early childhood education is advantageous. Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional training in special education is a plus. Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and their families while fostering an inclusive environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
