School-Age Teacher

School Age Teacher (Full-Time) The School Age Teacher supports a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for school-age children, including supervising daily activities, building positive relationships, and supporting field trips and enrichment opportunities. Responsibilities

• Supervise school-age children during our summer camp months. May 2026-August 2026. This position has the potential to continue after the summer for the right candidate.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities (games, art, STEM, outdoor play, homework support, and enrichment).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and activity areas; conduct routine safety checks.
• Build positive relationships with children and support social-emotional development and positive behavior.
• Communicate professionally with families regarding daily activities, student needs, and program updates.
• Follow licensing requirements, program policies, and health/safety procedures at all times.
• Document attendance, incidents, and behavior notes as required.
• Support meal/snack service and ensure allergy and dietary guidelines are followed.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
• Assist with planning and supervising field trips; help load/unload children and supplies and maintain appropriate ratios.
• Drive bus vans for field trips and program transportation as assigned. Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a federal and state background check.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of being hired).
• Current Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days of being hired).
• Ability to drive bus vans for field trips and program transportation.
• Ability to supervise children actively and respond quickly in emergencies.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift, move, and set up equipment/materials as needed for activities.

Pay:

$14.00 - $15.00 per hour
