Job Description
Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an immediate impact supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a dynamic school environment near Elma, WA. In this contract opportunity, you'll collaborate with licensed occupational therapists, educators, and support staff to provide vital therapies that help children succeed academically and socially.
Essential Qualifications:
Current certification as a COTA in Washington State Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred Exceptional communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt to the needs of students and work effectively with diverse populations Strong documentation and organizational abilitiesKey Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist Support students in developing fine motor, sensory-motor, and emotional regulation skills Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the therapy team Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and outcomes Facilitate participation in classroom and school activities Collaborate with teachers, families, and other education professionals to support student goals This contract position offers an engaging opportunity to make a difference in educational settings close to Aberdeen, WA.
