Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an impact in education by providing hands-on support and care to students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in an engaging school environment near Clovis, NM. This contract position is tailored for compassionate professionals eager to help children achieve their developmental and educational objectives through therapeutic support.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum of one year of recent experience in the field; school or pediatric setting preferred Successful completion of a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing continuing education and state/district-mandated professional development
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services Implement individualized interventions geared toward improving students' participation and success at school Track and document student progress, making recommendations in partnership with the supervising OT Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside educators, administrators, and families Ensure compliance with all state and district documentation and reporting standards Stay current with best practices by actively participating in professional development activities
