PediaStaff:
School Occupational Therapist OT in the Los Angeles County area. We' re currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($58/hour possibly more DOE) to support students in transition ages with higher needs in the Los Angeles County for the rest of the 25/26 school year. Qualifications:
Specific Degree in Occupational therapy Specific license: CA Occupational Therapy License Experience with Children and School experience preferred
Role Overview:
As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:
Schedule:
School Daytime Hours (could vary, but between 7: 30am-4: 30pm (approx 7.5 hours)
Dates:
ASAP to 6.16.26
Hours:
part time hours but could do more. Flexible days and hours. Per week
Setting:
Schools Assessments ONLY In-person only
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs. Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
