Job Description
Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a part-time Physical Therapist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role provides a chance to make a lasting difference in the academic and personal growth of children and adolescents near Keyser, WV, working collaboratively with dedicated educators and support staff. This position begins August 12, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, offering a consistent 20 hours per week to balance professional impact with personal flexibility. You'll lead therapy sessions, develop treatment plans, and empower students to achieve their full physical potential in an engaging school-based environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensure as a Physical Therapist. Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and families. Ability to adapt interventions and plans to fit diverse student needs. Organizational skills and flexibility to manage a varied caseload effectively.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' physical therapy requirements. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to promote mobility, function, and independence. Deliver direct services in compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school guidelines. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support. Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations for accommodations or modifications. Envision making a meaningful impact while enjoying consistent hours and the chance to work alongside passionate professionals.
