Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting student growth in a vibrant school environment near Rocklin, CA. This position focuses on providing specialized physical therapy services to help students achieve educational goals and maximize their physical potential throughout the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time contract role offers 9 hours per week.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students across various grade levels
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct physical therapy interventions as outlined in students' Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Assess students' motor skills and develop tailored treatment plans
  • Maintain thorough and accurate session notes and reports according to school and state guidelines
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support successful student participation in classroom and school activities
  • Attend IEP meetings as needed to provide input on students' therapy goals and progress
