Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students' communication and language growth in a vibrant school community near Woodbridge, VA. This position offers the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and collaborate with dedicated educational teams. You'll be able to utilize your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a supportive and engaging environment. Contract renewals are available, providing job security and continuity.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (for SLPs) or Associate's/Bachelor's degree with SLPA coursework (for SLPAs) Valid and current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Virginia Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (for SLPs) Experience in school-based settings is highly valued Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to supporting diverse student populations and individual learning needsResponsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students with a wide range of needs Develop individualized treatment plans, set measurable goals, and deliver direct therapy services Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines Consult with classroom teachers and educational staff to implement strategies within the learning environment Participate in IEP meetings, share expertise, and advocate for student success Support family education and facilitate generalization of skills across settings Maintain compliance with all regulations and ethical standards Invest in your professional growth while shaping the future for students.
