Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference this summer by supporting students' communication skills as a Speech Pathologist for an extended school year program. This contract opportunity, located near Evanston, IL, spans from June 10th to July 2nd—an engaging, short-term assignment with a total of 12 hours per week. Your expertise will help students thrive, combining 9 hours of direct work with students and an additional 3 hours dedicated to planning and preparation.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Familiarity with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders in children Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with educators and support staff Commitment to supporting diverse learnersKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, addressing individualized education program (IEP) goals Conduct assessments and reassessments as needed to monitor student progress Document session notes and maintain accurate records in line with school and district guidelines Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students' communication development Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning and student goal-setting Utilize allocated planning time to prepare materials, develop interventions, and coordinate with colleagues This assignment offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students during the summer, honing your professional skills in an educational environment.
