Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into an impactful role delivering exceptional speech and language services to students in a dynamic school-based environment near Harvey, LA. As a contract-based Speech Language Pathologist, you will work full-time throughout the academic year, supporting students' communication development and educational success. This onsite position follows the standard school calendar, with a workweek of 35 hours (Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
Key qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Louisiana) ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred Experience in school settings highly desirable Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches for a variety of school-age students
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy in compliance with student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress Complete timely evaluations, progress reports, and maintain accurate documentation Participate in IEP meetings and assist in eligibility determination processes Employ a range of therapeutic strategies tailored to diverse student needs Additional requirements: Pre-employment drug screening and fingerprinting (in addition to standard onboarding) All offers contingent upon school board contract renewal at the June 3, 2026 board meeting This contract offers the stability of a full academic year and the rewards of making a measurable difference in students' lives.
