Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a clinic-based setting, providing crucial support to students near South Portland, ME. This contract opportunity places you at the heart of student care, working closely with a manageable caseload of 15 students. Here, your expertise will foster communication development and academic progress in an environment designed for personalized, student-centered therapy.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) Prior experience with school-aged populations preferred Strong assessment and documentation skills Effective communication with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams Commitment to providing exceptional, individualized care
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for each student Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to specific student needs Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to promote student success Maintain accurate records, data, and progress reports in compliance with clinic and school policies Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Provide direct therapy to students using evidence-based intervention strategies Foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning and growth
