Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students in an educational setting located just 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This full-time speech-language pathologist opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year, beginning August 3rd and concluding May 27th, across a 185-day schedule. Working 37.5 hours per week on-site, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact at elementary, middle, or high school levels—the specific campus assignments to be determined based on school needs and your preferences. Caseloads encompass a variety of age groups, providing a diverse and engaging professional experience.
Qualifications:
Active Virginia SLP license required Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Ability to initiate VA Department of Social Services background screening immediately Ability to complete a Virginia TB test prior to start date Strong collaboration and facilitation skills to partner with teachers, parents, and other team membersKey Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students with a range of communication needs Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in cooperation with multidisciplinary teams Conduct screenings, progress monitoring, and formal assessments in accordance with school and state guidelines Document services, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP development and meetings This contract role offers the stability of a full academic year and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students and staff in a vibrant, supportive school community.
