Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact working with K-12 students across multiple school buildings in a vibrant educational community. Your assignment runs from the last week in August through early June, following a typical school calendar. You'll enjoy a stable, full-time schedule working 40 hours per week for a total of 185 school days. Daily start and end times will align with school-specific hours, and you will have the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload of approximately 60 students. Flexibility is key as school locations will be determined, and you may serve students in more than one building.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active SLPA license required Experience providing speech and language support to children ages 5-18 in a school setting preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Capacity to organize and document sessions effectively Adaptability to work at multiple school sites within the district Ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and families
Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language interventions under the supervision of an SLP Support IEP goals with targeted therapy activities Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation Assist with assessments, data collection, and classroom collaboration Communicate effectively with the school team and parents Support multiple school sites, ensuring consistency in services This assignment invites you to make a difference while developing your professional skills.
