Category Schools - Behavior Specialist Job Type Contract Empower positive change as a Behavior Specialist in a supportive school environment near Harvest, AL. Qualifications & Experience:
Background in behavioral health, psychology, counseling, or related human services field Experience implementing positive behavior intervention strategies within a school or similar setting Familiarity with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with staff and families Strong documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills Relevant certification or licensure required for practice in
Alabama Responsibilities:
Conduct behavioral assessments and develop customized support plans for students Provide coaching and direct support to teachers and staff to ensure consistent behavior management practices Collect, analyze, and report behavioral data to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed Offer crisis intervention support and guidance in challenging situations Facilitate professional development sessions for teachers and staff on behavioral strategies and interventions Act as a liaison between school teams, students, and families to promote open communication and collaboration
