• We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented School Bus and School Van Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on our fleet of school buses and vans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle mechanics, particularly with large vehicles, and a dedication to keeping our students safe on the road. Key Responsabilities
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections on school buses and vans to ensure they meet safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize vehicle downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with the transportation team to schedule and prioritize repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and stocked with necessary parts and tools. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification from a recognized automotive technical school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic
• State inspection and emission (Must have or willing to obtain)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license; CDL Class B Required with S and P endorsements (Training provided in house to obtain CDL Class B Required with S and P endorsements)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
