Full-Time Reports to: Devon Passaro , I nterimTransportation Supervisor The Cairo-Durham Central School District is now accepting applications for a School Bus Dispatcher.

Qualifications and Experience:

Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.

• Good knowledge of the geographic lay-out of the school district, operation of school buses, school transportation systems, and personal computers.
• Ability to operate radiotelephone and dispatching equipment to coordinate drivers and buses on regularly assigned daily routes.
• Ability to assist the Transportation Supervisor in planning routes, scheduling field trips/sporting events, assigning substitute drivers, and handling parent, student, and driver complaints.
• Ability to coordinate the work of others, maintain vehicle maintenance and student route records, and prepare reports.

Hours:

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p. m., occasionally earlier or later depending on operations References will be checked upon application. Fingerprint Clearance Required (Must obtain clearance for employment from the State Education Department based upon a fingerprint and criminal history background check).
