School Bus Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation for our passengers, which may include seniors, children, and individuals with special needs. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation to ensure a positive experience for all riders. Duties Safely operate a bus or van to transport passengers to various destinations, including schools, senior care facilities, and community events. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the vehicle, providing support as needed. Educate passengers on safety protocols and rules while traveling. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and passengers regarding schedules and any changes in routes or delays. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns in a friendly manner. Keep accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transit. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver or school bus driver is preferred. Previous experience in senior care or working with children is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations. Ability to pass background checks and any required training or certifications related to driving regulations and safety standards.
