School Bus Driver

Job Summary We are seeking dedicated and responsible Bus Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students and passengers to their designated locations . This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to interact effectively with children and parents. Duties Perform bus driving as assigned, in accordance with all safety regulations and traffic laws set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Canon-McMillan School District. Maintain an up-to-date schedule of times and bus stops, making necessary changes and reporting all changes to the Director of Support Services. Maintains an accurate record of time and destination for extra, unscheduled runs and layover time paid on the basis of hourly rate. Clean the interior of the bus daily and wash the exterior as needed. Install and / or remove tire chains as required. Check the bus before and after each operation for mechanical defects. Notify proper personnel in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Enforce all District policies and procedures. Maintain discipline on the bus according to the School Code of Conduct and report misbehavior of students to the Director of Support Services. Report all accidents and complete required reports in a timely manner, Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Facilities. Requirements Valid Pennsylvania Commercial driver's license. Demonstrated acceptable record. Demonstrate aptitude or competence for all assigned duties. Meet all other State qualifications.
