Develops, oversees and manages the implementation of the District's positive school culture and climate program. Maintains a safe and positive learning environment for students.Qualifications:

The Southeast Delco School District will adhere to all applicable laws and regulations in assessing an employee's ability to carry out or otherwise meet the job requirements set forth herein in a satisfactory manner.Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee aspects of promoting a positive school culture and climate, through Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practices. Maintains a positive, safe, secure, and peaceful environment by working with students and staff to improve delivery of Responsive Classroom and Restorative Practice tenets. Coordinates student activities which promote positive school culture including peer mediation and conflict resolution Coordinates between the school administrations, support staff, faculty, and the outside contractor on issues pertaining to building culture. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with teachers and administrators, and establishes positive relationships with parents and students. Provides small group or one-on-one social skill development sessions during student lunch periods. Participates in support team discussion and planning (fox example SAP, BERT, MTSS, PBIS, etc.) Crisis response as needed for severe student misbehavior Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal and approved by the Assistant Superintendent(s)Required Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge/awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others Ability to establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students and patrons of the District Ability to recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with District staff and administrators, students, parents or guardians, outside agencies, and the public, in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural multilingual environment Ability to receive and implement feedback to improve practice and systems Must have expertise in Excel and Microsoft Word; ability to collect, analyze, and report data. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptionsEducation & Experience:
Bachelors Degree is required. Experience with Restorative Practices and/or Responsive Classroom required. Familiar with the operations of a school and familiar with how to promote a positive climate in a school required. 2+ years experience working as a Climate Manager in a public school setting desired.Pre-employment Requirements:
Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check, FBI fingerprinting Background Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (ACT 168) School Personnel Health Record and TB testPhysical Requirements:
Pushing, moving and lifting objects with a strength factor of light work Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of standard office equipment Clarity of vision at varying distances Verbal, auditory and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner Sitting and standing for extended periods of time Frequent sitting, standing and walking Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally to retrieve and store files and supplies Lifting objects with a strength factor of light work Occasional bending, reaching and stretching Occasional kneeling, crouching and squatting Occasional pulling, pushingLevel of Compensation:
$54,000 to $104,000 (dependent on step and track placement as determined based on collective bargaining agreements). This is a 10-month position in the Southeast Delco Education Association contract group.Disclaimer:
