Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a school setting near Millbrook, AL. As a contract school nurse, you'll be an essential member of the educational community, fostering student wellness and providing expert care.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Active LPN or LVN license, valid in the state of Alabama Previous experience in school nursing or a similar pediatric healthcare setting is a plus Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities Familiarity with the unique medical and developmental needs of school-aged children Ability to maintain accurate health records and manage confidential information Collaborative mindset for working with educators, parents, and other health professionals
Key Responsibilities:
Administer first aid and prescribed medications to students according to care plans Provide emergency care as needed and manage minor illnesses or injuries on campus Implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions Conduct health screenings and maintain comprehensive health documentation Serve as a source of health education and guidance for students and staff Liaise with educators and families to support each child's well-being and safety Promote a healthy and inclusive school environment
