School Nurse

School Nurse Job Summary The ideal candidate for the School Nurse position at CCSA will support the physical, emotional, mental, and social health of students while ensuring the effective daily operation of the school health and wellness program. The School Nurse will provide emergency care, administer medications, maintain accurate health records, and collaborate with staff and families to promote a safe and healthy learning environment. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and neat, patient, communicative, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced school setting. Responsibilities and Qualities Provide emergency care for illness or injury to students and staff in accordance with school procedures and policies. Perform state-required health screenings and complete state ACCESS reporting requirements. Administer medications to students in accordance with state and federal law and school procedures. Monitor immunizations, manage communicable diseases, and a safe school environment. Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential student health records. Complete student and staff accident/incident reports as needed. Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, flexibility, and strong organizational skills. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all stakeholders. Exercise sound judgment and decision-making skills, particularly during emergencies or time-sensitive situations. Maintain confidentiality regarding students, staff, and family health information. $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
