Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference for students by providing occupational therapy services in a supportive educational setting. This contract position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) passionate about supporting transition-age students within a school community. Based near Norristown, PA, you'll work with students preparing to transition from school to adulthood, helping them build the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active state license as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Previous experience in school-based OT preferred Background working with middle or high school aged students, especially those involved in transition services, is a plus Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently at a single school site
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to MDS transition students Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans targeting life skills, daily functioning, and academic participation Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure seamless support Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Commit to a flexible schedule of 4.5 hours per week, providing consistent care from ASAP through the end of the school year
