Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in an educational setting. Located near Standish, ME, this position offers 15-18 hours per week, creating a flexible schedule ideal for professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT licensure, or eligibility for licensure in Maine Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong understanding of IEPs, special education, and accommodations Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other service providers Compassionate, student-centered approach to therapyPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments to identify students' areas of need Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support students' academic and functional goals Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to ensure student success Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress, and outcomes Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote optimal student participation Provide recommendations for classroom modifications and adaptive equipment when appropriate Support transition planning and skill development as students advance through grades If you are seeking flexible hours and an opportunity to positively influence children's lives while working in a supportive school environment, this role is an excellent fit.
