Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting student growth and development as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming fall semester. This role focuses on covering a leave from August 14, 2026, through October 30, 2026. Within a supportive school environment near Joliet, IL, you'll collaborate with educators and families to enhance students' academic access and daily functioning through occupational therapy interventions. You'll find fulfillment working with a diverse caseload and shaping positive outcomes for learners.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy and current state licensure (or eligibility) Previous experience or strong interest in working within school-based or pediatric OT settings Proficiency in individualized assessment, IEP development, and therapy documentation Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families Flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a dynamic workload
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive student evaluations to identify occupational therapy needs Develop and implement individualized therapy sessions, supporting IEP goals and student participation Collaborate with teachers and multi-disciplinary teams to integrate OT strategies into the classroom Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Offer guidance for adaptive equipment, sensory integration, and student accommodations Engage regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and carryover strategies This contract opportunity allows you to make a significant difference during a key period in the academic year.
