Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a role where you'll make a daily impact on students' growth and success as a skilled Occupational Therapist. This full-time contract position, with a schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week, places you in an engaging, supportive educational environment. The preference for onsite work ensures you can build meaningful connections with students, collaborate with staff, and tailor interventions to each learner's needs. Your expertise in school-based Occupational Therapy is invaluable, as you'll help children gain independence, thrive academically, and progress in their daily routines. Experience in teletherapy, home health, and healthcare environments is highly valued, offering flexibility to adapt interventions and leverage innovative approaches to student care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California Prior experience delivering OT services in school, healthcare, home health, or teletherapy settings Strong understanding of IEP implementation and progress monitoring Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Enthusiasm for fostering positive outcomes for K-12 studentsPrimary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized OT treatment plans for students Deliver direct and consultative OT services, adapting strategies for optimal student participation Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed, ensuring documentation aligns with regulatory standards Support classroom staff with strategies to incorporate therapeutic interventions throughout the school day Act as a resource for families and educators, sharing best practices for student success You'll thrive in a collaborative work setting, enjoy a predictable weekday schedule, and have the satisfaction of helping students achieve their fullest potential.
