Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students as a dedicated OT or COTA on a contract basis. This position is designed for an experienced occupational therapist or certified occupational therapy assistant who is ready to make a meaningful impact in a school-based environment near Philadelphia, PA. You'll have the chance to work closely with MDS transition students, providing essential services throughout the end of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
Valid OT or COTA licensure in Pennsylvania Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred Comfort in servicing transition-aged students with a variety of needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and effectively manage time across a limited weekly schedule
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services for MDS transition students at a single school site Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement and independence Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment or classroom modifications as needed Maintain thorough and timely records in compliance with district and state requirements This role offers a focused commitment of approximately 4.5 hours each week, perfect for professionals interested in supplementing their current schedule or those seeking flexibility.
