Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embrace a dynamic contract opportunity near Roseburg, OR, catering to both early intervention and early childhood special education services as an Occupational Therapist. This unique split position combines impactful collaboration with the Early Intervention team and the Early Childhood Special Education birth-to-three team, empowering children and families through essential therapy services.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist licensure Experience working within school-based OT settings Familiarity with EI and early childhood special education, particularly birth-to-three populations Comfortable providing services in homes, clinics, childcare facilities, and community-based programs Skilled in developing and writing educational goals, with strong data collection abilities Knowledge of Medicaid billing processes preferred Strong communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
Split assignment: half with the Early Intervention team and half with the Birth-to-Three Early Childhood Special Education team Evaluate up to three students weekly, with one dedicated day per week for evaluations Deliver direct therapy to children and parents, primarily in home settings but also in community childcare locations or the EI building upon family request Support families and students by recommending goals and writing actionable, educational objectives Collect and monitor data to measure student progress Utilize the ability to bill Medicaid as applicable (if credentialed) This contract position offers the chance to make a measurable difference in the lives of young children and their families while gaining specialized experience within diverse environments.
