Job Description
Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in schools specializing in emotional and autistic support. This position involves working across two settings, providing Occupational Therapy services to grades 1-9 in a collaborative educational environment. You'll provide direct and consultative OT services at two campuses. At one location, you'll serve a small caseload of grades 4-8 (just two students—one direct and one consultative), focusing on emotional and autistic support. At the second site, you'll work with grades 1-9, directly supporting 11 students and consulting for 3 more, all within the emotional support program. Flexible scheduling is available, with daily hours aligned to the 6-hour school day, and final weekly days to be determined based on your availability and school needs. Start date is immediate, and applicants are welcome for consideration regardless of experience level; however, candidates must be comfortable working independently, as supervision for new graduates is not provided.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license in Pennsylvania Experience in school-based OT preferred, but open to new grads Special interest or background in supporting students with emotional needs and autism Effective communication skills for collaboration with school teams and families Ability to manage a varied caseload, adapting services for students with compensatory needsResponsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative OT services for assigned students in grades 1-9 Document sessions, progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP meetings as needed Adjust interventions based on student progress and educational goals This contract role offers variety in your daily activities and the chance to make a difference with a manageable caseload in supportive settings.
