Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students across a K-12 district near beautiful Ranchos De Taos, NM. This full-time, contract Occupational Therapy role spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering the chance to positively impact approximately 30-35 students each week. If you are passionate about supporting student growth and functional participation, we invite you to support a diverse caseload and collaborate with dedicated educators and caregivers.
Key Qualifications:
Active and valid New Mexico OT license Current National Provider Identifier (NPI) Medicaid provider number (required) Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and staff Ability to manage a caseload of 30-35 K-12 students district-wide
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students from kindergarten through high school Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Collaborate with special education team members, teachers, and parents to support student success Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in alignment with district and Medicaid requirements Contribute to IEP meetings and help set meaningful goals for students with varying needs Adapt therapy interventions across diverse educational settings within the district This contract role runs from August 12, 2026, to May 22, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek that values work-life balance.
