Job Description
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity providing Occupational Therapy services for children from birth to age 3 during the summer session. This contract role offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team, supporting young learners through Early Childhood Special Education and making a lasting impact on their development. The schedule follows Extended School Year (ESY) coverage, with a caseload focused on infants and toddlers who receive home or daycare visits with the team once a month. While some weekly variance is to be expected—ranging from around 2 to 8 hours depending on needs—overall flexibility is valued. The ability to adapt your schedule and adjust as needs arise is appreciated, as precise hours depend on caseload demands each week.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (attach to your application, along with your resume) Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, especially Early Intervention (birth-3) Strong communication skills for family and team interactions Ability to manage variable schedules and document services professionallyRole Responsibilities:
Provide Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and indirect services to students from birth to age 3 Conduct collaborative home or daycare visits with a team, approximately once per month for each case Maintain thorough documentation of sessions and communicate progress with families and team members Deliver indirect OT support for older students (ages 3-22) as needed, mainly through check-ins and collaboration Enjoy the flexibility of determining your work hours each week, making this a perfect arrangement for those who appreciate variety in their schedule and meaningful, hands-on work with families and young children.
