Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. This contract role seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist to cover a maternity leave, working onsite with a diverse K-12 student caseload near Winterville, GA. You'll collaborate with educational staff and families to deliver targeted OT services that support students' success and growth.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current OT state licensure and eligibility to practice in school settings Proven experience working with K-12 populations, preferably in a school environment Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans Strong communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and families Flexibility, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset for dynamic school environments
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct OT services (approximately 10 hours/week) to a caseload of 50-60 students Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and track student progress Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administration to support student outcomes Maintain clear documentation and follow district and regulatory guidelines Offer guidance to school personnel on classroom adaptations and strategies Attend IEP meetings as needed, contributing expertise to team discussions This is a contract position working four days per week, approximately 8 hours each day.
