Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year, supporting students' growth and development as a part-time Occupational Therapist. This position calls for a compassionate and knowledgeable professional who brings expertise in school-based OT and a commitment to positive outcomes for PreK through 12th-grade learners. You'll have an immediate impact, overseeing a manageable caseload of 13-14 students, and making a difference across a wide age range. Your support will be needed just once a month for a dedicated 7.5-hour day, allowing you to maintain flexibility in your schedule while developing ongoing relationships with both students and staff. Additionally, you'll take on a valuable mentorship role by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), ensuring high-quality care and continuity of services.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist Proven experience in a school-based OT setting Previous experience supervising a COTA preferred Effective communication and organizational skills Dedication to inclusive, student-centered practice
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide monthly OT services to students across PreK-12th grades in alignment with IEP goals Supervise and provide guidance to a COTA, ensuring compliance and high standards of care Assess students' needs, develop treatment plans, and document progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success Maintain timely and thorough records in accordance with school and district guidelines This contract role offers a unique chance to balance professional engagement with personal flexibility.
