Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your skills and compassion to support K-12 students as an Occupational Therapist during the upcoming school year! This contract opportunity in the Lovington, NM area offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping students overcome physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges so they can fully participate in academic and social activities. Your responsibilities will span a variety of enriching tasks, including: Assessing student needs and delivering targeted occupational therapy services Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create and monitor individualized treatment plans Conducting thorough evaluations, maintaining accurate documentation of progress, and adjusting therapy to optimize student outcomes Educating and training teachers and school staff on effective strategies to support students with diverse learning needs in the classroom Fostering independence and confidence in students as they work towards their goals To be successful in this assignment, you'll need: A master's degree in Occupational Therapy Active state Occupational Therapist license and state-required certifications Prior experience providing occupational therapy in a school setting Strong interpersonal and communication skills A commitment to collaborative, student-centered care Pay for this position starts at $35 per hour and is based on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical coverage and prompt weekly direct deposit for secure and convenient pay. This contract position runs from August 2024 through May 2025, offering a consistent schedule of 37 hours per week supporting K-12 students across a varied caseload.
