Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Physical Therapist in a dedicated educational setting near North East, MD. If you are passionate about pediatric therapy and thrive in school environments, this position is an excellent chance to make a meaningful difference in students' every day successes. Currently, the role is structured for 30 contacts per week, which is equivalent to approximately 35 hours. For added flexibility, there is the option to split the position for candidates seeking part-time hours—so whether you're looking for full or part-time work, both can be accommodated.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of pediatric therapy and IEP process Collaborative, team-minded, and open to interdisciplinary communication Excellent organizational and time management skills Comfortable adapting therapeutic approaches to diverse student needs
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to team eligibility determinations Develop and implement effective treatment plans in coordination with educators and families Document student progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in all required meetings Consult with teachers, staff, and families to facilitate student success and carryover in the classroom Stay current on best practices and legal compliance within a school setting This contract offers the stability and consistency of a school-based calendar while allowing you to shape your schedule for work-life balance.
