Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in students' lives by providing essential psychological services in a supportive educational environment. This full-time, contract opportunity offers a unique split role for the 2024-2025 school year, serving both an Early Childhood Center (preschool and kindergarten) and a specialized elementary program (K-5) for students with autism and developmental disabilities. Engage with dynamic teams across both programs and play a pivotal role in fostering students' social, emotional, and academic success.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with school psychologist endorsement Experience or training in delivering psychological services in schools preferred Strong communication and collaboration abilities when working with staff, students, and families Ability to adapt and work effectively across diverse learning environments Familiarity with supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities is a plus
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students in both the Early Childhood Center and specialized elementary program Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Consult with teachers, staff, and families to promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes Deliver counseling and intervention services tailored to the needs of early learners and children with developmental disabilities Help build a supportive, inclusive climate that meets the social-emotional needs of all students
