Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a School Psychologist in a diverse educational setting near Hialeah, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for a bilingual professional fluent in both English and Spanish, as you'll play a crucial role in bridging communication and cultural gaps among students and families. This position is currently on an as-needed basis, with plans to grow into a part-time or potentially full-time role for the right contractor. You'll collaborate closely with school personnel, providing essential psychological services and ensuring that the needs of all learners are thoughtfully addressed. Given that the current in-house psychologist is not bilingual, your language skills will be especially valuable for supporting the school's multilingual population.
Qualifications & Experience:
Licensed or certified School Psychologist Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong communication skills in both languages Prior experience working in school environments is highly desirable Ability to effectively administer psychological assessments and write comprehensive reports Knowledge of educational evaluations, counseling interventions, and student support servicesKey Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services Provide individual and group counseling as needed Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans and support student learning Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development Offer crisis intervention and consult with staff on behavioral and academic concerns You'll find this role offers flexibility and the chance to create positive outcomes for diverse students.
