Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise in school psychology to an impactful contract position serving students for the 2026-27 academic year. This full-time role (35 hours per week) will have you working closely with students in either a 7th-8th grade junior high or K-4 elementary setting, delivering vital psychological support and collaborating with educational teams to ensure success for every learner. Your responsibilities will span special education evaluations, assessments, IEP and 504 plan management, and active participation in multidisciplinary meetings. Leverage your in-depth knowledge of Illinois regulations, the MTSS framework, and IDEA compliance as you facilitate domain meetings, evaluate progress, and help shape supportive educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois (or eligibility) Deep understanding of IDEA and Illinois special education regulations Hands-on experience with the MTSS process and timelines Skilled in special education evaluations, including manifestation determinations Proficient in efficiently scheduling and facilitating domain meetings, EDCs, and ARs Strong proficiency with IEP, 504, DS, and MTSS documentation and implementation Familiar with assessment systems such as Q-global and FastBridge Comfortable utilizing Google Docs for documentation and collaboration
