Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in students' lives as a full-time School Psychologist in a supportive school district near McMinnville, TN. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide crucial social, emotional, and academic support to K-12 learners. You'll collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families, all while using your expertise to promote student success and well-being.
Desired Background & Skills:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (state credentials). Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs. Knowledge of
RTI/MTSS
processes, behavioral intervention strategies, and special education law. Strong interpersonal, consultation, and collaboration skills. Ability to work with a diverse student population effectively. Clinical, internship, or prior school-based experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and interpret results to help develop student support plans. Participate in eligibility, IEP, and Section 504 meetings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address academic and behavioral concerns. Facilitate social-emotional interventions and crisis management as needed. Consult on strategies for classroom modifications and accommodations. Document services and maintain detailed records in compliance with all school, district, and legal requirements. Provide direct or consultative services to support student engagement and positive learning environments.
