Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school psychologist working onsite at an intermediate school serving grades 3 to 5. In this engaging educational environment, you'll play a vital role in helping students thrive both academically and emotionally. The daily schedule runs from 8:20 AM to 3:35 PM, allowing for a structured day with a great work/life balance. Your skills as a certified school psychologist will be essential, as you provide assessments, counseling, and support services tailored to each student's unique needs. An added element of this position includes LEA responsibilities, offering the chance to expand your administrative experience while contributing meaningfully to the team.
Qualifications:
Active certification or licensure as a school psychologist. Experience working with elementary or intermediate grade levels, specifically grades 3-5. Proficiency in conducting student evaluations, developing IEPs, and implementing intervention strategies. Comfortable handling LEA duties and collaborating with school staff, students, and families. Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills. Experience in an onsite, school-based setting preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct student assessments and provide psychological services to support learning and well-being. Serve as LEA representative in meetings, ensuring compliance with educational requirements. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and families to develop and monitor individualized education plans. Lead or participate in student support teams, offering expertise on mental health and behavioral interventions. Provide crisis interventions as needed. Maintain accurate records and data for compliance reporting.
