Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role serving students as a school psychologist on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Located conveniently near Joliet, IL, this opportunity allows you to collaborate with educators and families while supporting students' academic and emotional development. Applicants should possess the expertise and qualifications necessary to excel in a school setting. You'll be instrumental in evaluating student needs and driving positive learning outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or closely related field Experience with psychoeducational evaluations and standardized testing Familiarity with IEP development and the special education process Background in working with diverse student populations Strong written and oral communication skills Collaborative mindset and effective problem-solving techniques
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interpret results for educational planning Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to students Support the development and implementation of IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Serve as a resource for teachers, staff, and families regarding interventions and best practices Participate in eligibility, referral, and placement meetings Promote positive behavioral supports and academic success throughout the school community Maintain clear, accurate records and adhere to ethical/legal standards
