Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role where your expertise as a School Psychologist can make a meaningful impact on students' lives. An exciting contract opportunity is available in the San Juan Capistrano area, working on-site with one supportive middle school from August 17th to November 20th. This full-time position offers the chance to collaborate in an engaging school environment, providing direct support to middle school students. Ideal candidates are dedicated professionals passionate about fostering student growth and well-being. You'll have the chance to contribute your skills to a dynamic educational team while enjoying the structure and variety that working within a middle school setting provides. To thrive in this role, you'll bring: A Master's degree in School Psychology or related field Current California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) certification Experience supporting students at the middle school level Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills The ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families Flexibility, communication effectiveness, and a student-centered approach Key duties include: Conducting psychological evaluations and assessments for students as needed Providing counseling and support services directly to middle schoolers Collaborating with educational professionals to design interventions and support plans Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with district and state requirements Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and consultation with families Supporting crisis management and positive behavior initiatives as appropriate This contract offers the perfect blend of meaningful student interaction and professional collaboration, all within a vibrant middle school setting.
