Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Exciting opportunities are available for experienced school psychologists eager to make a lasting impact in students' lives. This full-time contract role spans the 2026-27 academic year, with an anticipated start in mid-August and completion in early June. Be part of a collaborative educational environment serving either junior high (grades 7-8) or elementary (K-4) students—a rewarding chance to contribute your expertise where it matters most.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid certification/licensure as a School Psychologist Previous experience in school settings preferred, especially within Illinois Strong understanding of IDEA and Illinois-specific special education regulations Familiarity with MTSS (Multi-Tiered Systems of Support) processes Proficient in monitoring special education evaluations, timelines, and student progress Skilled in scheduling and leading domain meetings, EDCs, ARs, and Manifestation Determinations In-depth knowledge of IEPs, 504 plans, Due Process procedures, and MTSS documentation Hands-on experience with
Q-global, FastBridge, and Google Docs Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive student assessments and develop tailored support plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service professionals on intervention strategies Oversee and participate in all special education eligibility meetings and processes Maintain accurate, timely records and ensure compliance with state and federal mandates Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and mental health support You'll find this role both fulfilling and dynamic, with opportunities to work alongside passionate professionals who share your dedication to student success.
