Upon Board Approval Job Goal:
Evaluate pupils referred as potential candidates for Special Education program and present team evaluations. The evaluator will provide a succinct written report to include, but not limited to assessment scores, instruments used, interpretation of results, background history, and recommendations on pupils he/she has evaluated. The completed report, along with recommendations will be shared with the Case Conference Committee within Special Education timelines for the evaluation. Assessments may include observations, record review, achievement, personality, behavioral, and perceptual skills. Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required):
Valid Professional Educator License/School Psychologist Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts educational evaluations of referred students with team members 2. Develop the initial IEP when appropriate 3. Participate in case conference 4. Serve as a resource person concerning learning problems for other school personnel Interpret assessments and diagnoses to school personnel, other concerned professionals, parents, and students 5. Make recommendations on ways to assist a student referred for examination 6. Adhere to guidelines of RISE, which the district uses for employee evaluations 7. Any assigned duties
