Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful role supporting student success as a dedicated school psychologist. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year and offers the chance to make a real difference in PreK-12 settings. With a focus on consultation, mental health support, and collaborative teamwork, you'll work directly onsite, engaging with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams to foster positive outcomes for learners.
What We're Looking For:
Active NCDPI School Psychologist license (must be attached with your application) Proficiency with ECATS Prior experience in school settings, ideally PreK-12 Strong background in psychoeducational assessments and crisis response Collaborative communicator able to connect with students, staff, and families Skilled in leading parent conferences and training sessions for staff
In This Role, You Will:
Provide consultation, counseling, and crisis intervention services across various district campuses Lead psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of having disabilities Hold conferences with parents and collaborate actively with educators Support students' mental health needs and facilitate staff trainings Serve as a member of district-level multi-disciplinary teams, contributing your expertise in student welfare Manage a dynamic PreK-12 caseload, always onsite and fully engaged The assignment is full-time, 37.5 hours per week (August 2026 - May 2027), across multiple campuses within the district.
