Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a bilingual (English and Spanish) school psychologist to a dynamic educational setting near Hollywood, FL. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting students' emotional and academic growth, with flexibility in scheduling that could lead to more consistent part-time or even full-time work. Currently, the school has an in-house psychologist who is not bilingual, so your unique language skills will be highly valued.
Key Qualifications:
State licensure or certification as a school psychologist Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) Experience providing psychological assessments, counseling, and consultation in school settings Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, families, and students Strong understanding of child development and evidence-based interventions Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs and 504 plans Commitment to equity, inclusion, and the well-being of diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for students as needed Provide culturally competent counseling and support to students, individually and in groups Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective intervention strategies Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Assist in crisis intervention and coordinate appropriate referrals to community resources Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Support the creation of positive, inclusive learning environments As the need arises, this contract position offers the chance to become an integral resource for the school community.
