Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution Current state licensure or eligibility as a School Psychologist Experience with comprehensive psychoeducational assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral intervention planning Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families Familiarity with IEP processes, Response to Intervention (RTI), and development of functional behavioral assessments (FBA) Commitment to ethical and evidence-based practices Experience working in a school environment is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, and social-emotional needs Deliver direct and consultative services to help students overcome barriers to learning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs and intervention plans Provide crisis intervention support and participate in prevention efforts Engage in ongoing communication with educators, families, and administrators to optimize student outcomes Assist in data collection and progress monitoring for students receiving special services Promote positive behavioral supports and contribute to a safe, inclusive school culture Enjoy the unique rewards of contract work, with the ability to contribute your expertise while maintaining career flexibility.
