Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement or eligibility to obtain Experience performing comprehensive psychological evaluations, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments Ability to interpret evaluation results and provide constructive feedback to educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong commitment to student advocacy and collaboration with educational staff Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to identify student needs and eligibility for special education services Provide direct and indirect psychological services, counseling, and crisis intervention as needed Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop effective intervention plans Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines Promote student resilience and positive behavior through targeted programs and consultations This assignment offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while making a positive difference in schools near Berwyn, IL.
