Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a positive impact as a School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment near Camden, NC! This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated faculty and staff to help guide students toward academic and personal success.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist Master's or specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field Knowledge of psychological and educational assessment methods Strong understanding of special education processes and relevant legislation (IDEA, Section 504) Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and age groups Excellent communication, consultation, and collaboration skills Experience developing and implementing intervention and behavior plans is preferred
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' needs Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing valuable input and recommendations Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies promoting student well-being Support students through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management plans Assist in the development and monitoring of interventions that address academic, behavioral, and social/emotional concerns Provide training and resources to staff and caregivers on mental health, learning challenges, and effective supports Enjoy the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while working alongside a passionate team of educators.
