A school psychologist position is available in Charleston, SC, offering a contract opportunity to apply specialized skills in educational and psychological assessment, intervention, and support services within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify student needs and challenges. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs). Provide counseling and intervention services to support students' academic, social, and emotional development. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommendations. Utilize data to inform decisions and measure the effectiveness of interventions. Promote a positive school climate through preventative programs and crisis intervention when necessary.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience conducting psychological assessments in educational settings. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding special education. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
